Showplace ICON Theatre Coming to The Village At San Antonio Center in Mountain View
Kerasotes Showplace Theatres, dba ShowPlace ICON Theatre has leased ±50,700 square feet of space at The Village at San Antonio Center in Mountain View, CA. ShowPlace ICON is a fairly new concept from the Kerasotes family, a Chicago-based theater operator with over 100 years of experience. This would represent just the second ShowPlace ICON theater in the western U.S., with the other location recently announced at San Jose’s Westfield Valley Fair also in Silicon Valley. ShowPlace ICON is anticipated to open at The Village in 2017.

ShowPlace ICON looks to redefine the movie-watching experience, by featuring modern design and delectable dining, reserved seating and state-of-the-art cinematic technology. The company is looking to expand in additional major markets per its web site. The ShowPlace ICON concept includes VIP Premium Reserved seating for guests 21 and older with large, leather, sofa-style chairs. Total Wine & More Opening Two Superstores in Silicon Valley
Total Wine & More, deemed America’s Wine Superstore and the largest independent retailer of fine wine in the United States, is making its first entry into the San Francisco Bay Area. Total Wine will be opening two new superstores in the Silicon Valley cities of Fremont and Mountain View. In Fremont, Total Wine leased 21,372 square feet at The Block shopping center, located on the southwest corner of Interstate 880 and Auto Mall Parkway. The center features major retailers Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Century Theaters.

In Mountain View, Total Wine leased 18,320 square feet at the Costco-anchored Rengstorff Center, located at the junction of Rengstoff Avenue and U.S. Highway 101. The Block is owned by Hart Pacific Commons, LLC, and the Rengstoff Center is owned by Rengstorff Center, LLC.

Cost Plus World Market® and buybuy BABY® will be joining the newly redeveloped Serramonte Center in Daly City, CA. Cost Plus World Market and buybuy BABY will be co-occupying a brand new 38,000 square foot building being developed in the center scheduled to open late 2016. Cost Plus World Market, which will be located in approximately 18,000 square feet in the new building, is relocating from its current store at the Westlake Center. Gas Station, Mini-Storage Operator Buys ±3 Acres in San Jose for New Mixed-Use Development
Horning Street, LLC, a gas station/mini-storage operator and property developer, has acquired a ±2.87 acre (125,000 square feet) property at 645 Horning Street in northern San Jose, CA for $5,600,000 (±$45 per square foot). The seller was Imwalle Annex HBD, LLC. The new owner will be developing and operating a new Chevron gas station that will feature a convenience store and car wash, as well as build a new mini-storage facility. Also part of the development will be a single-fast food pad building, which has already attracted a prospective national tenant. The industrial buildings currently on the site that previously served as an auto repair shop will be demolished. Jon Stansbury with Cushman & Wakefield’s Retail Services group represented the seller in the transaction, and is also now representing the buyer in leasing the new pad space.

CVS Health Relocates Within Vacaville Market, Moves to Depot Station for New Drive-Through Store
CVS Health leased 14,475 square feet of space for a new CVS/pharmacy drive-through store at the Depot Station Shopping Center in Vacaville, CA.  The pharmacy chain—the second largest in the U.S.—relocated from 377 E. Monte Vista Avenue into the center located at 191 Depot Street at the southeast corner of E. Monta Vista Avenue. Depot Station is owned by Clarke Family 191 Properties, LP. CVS’s new space is adjacent to O’Reilly Auto Parts and was formerly home to Grocery Outlet, which relocated to another center. Fleet Feet Sports Opens at Marriott Marquis Hotel in Downtown San Francisco
Fleet Feet Sports, an athletic shoe and apparel chain, has recently opened a new 4,421 square foot store at the base of the San Francisco Marriott Marquis Hotel in downtown San Francisco, CA. The property is located at 55 Fourth Street at the intersection of Fourth and Mission streets, positioned within the popular SoMa neighborhood of the Financial District. The high-rise is comprised of a 1,500-room hotel plus ground floor retail and is owned by Host Hotel. It is adjacent to the Moscone Center, across from the Metreon, CityTarget and steps from Union Square. Indochino Apparel Opening Permanent Store Location in San Francisco
Indochino Apparel, Inc. has signed a deal for a permanent store location in San Francisco, CA.  The 3,661 square foot custom menswear store will be split between the ground floor and mezzanine levels at 61 Post Street. Indochino had initially opened the store as a pop-up showroom concept last October before agreeing to a new long-term commitment for a full-fledge store. Indochino will be strategically located between the City’s Financial District and Union Square. The property is owned by Mechanic’s Institute. Napa Auto Parts Joins Watt Square Shopping Center in North Highlands
Napa Auto Parts has signed a long-term lease for 12,313 square feet of space at the Watt Square Shopping Center in North Highlands, CA.  Watt Square is a neighborhood center located at the southwest corner of Watt Avenue and Elkhorn Boulevard, positioned directly across from the Watt Towne Center. Recently remodeled, Watt Square features national retailers Ross Dress for Less and Rite Aid. The center is owned by Watt Elkhorn Partners, LLC. The Habit Burger Grill Opening New Restaurant in Strong South San Jose Market
The Habit Burger Grill will be opening another Silicon Valley restaurant location at the new Almaden Ranch shopping center in southern San Jose. The Habit leased 2,521 square feet at the brand new center that is owned by Hunter Properties. Anchored by Bass Pro Shops, the new 350,000 square foot center development is positioned in a strong trade market of San Jose at the convergence of California Highway 85 and Almaden Expressway (near California Highway 87). Peet’s Coffee & Tea has leased 2,028 square feet at 773 Market Street in San Francisco, CA. The coffee & tea chain’s newest store is on the ground floor of a multi-story, mixed-use property, and is a part of the Four Season’s Hotel Development Complex. The property is well located at the high profile convergence of Market, Fourth, Stockton and Ellis streets, renowned for its cluster of popular retailers. YOGASMOGA Opening First San Francisco Store
YOGASMOGA will be opening a new 2,834 square foot store at 66 Kearny Street in San Francisco, CA, where it plans to showcase its expansive and luxurious retail experience. The location, which represents YOGASMOGA’s very first store in San Francisco, will be located at the entrance to San Francisco’s Union Square district and in the City’s Financial District. It is positioned adjacent to the Ritz Carlton Residences and Crocker Galleria. S&G Discount Outlet has leased an 8,517 square foot freestanding retail building in Fremont, CA. S&G Discount Outlet’s new store will be positioned at a high-identity, centralized location at 39418 Fremont Boulevard. The single-story property is owned by SP Food USA, Inc. MOD Pizza Dishing Up Two New Locations in Silicon Valley, with Spring 2016 Openings
MOD Pizza has completed leases for two new pizzeria locations in Silicon Valley. MOD signed a long term deal for 2,522 square feet of space at 2000 S. Bascom Avenue in Campbell. MOD will serve as co-tenant alongside a new The Habit Burger restaurant. The property is owned by MV Campbell, LLC. MOD also leased 2,633 square feet of space at the new Almaden Ranch shopping center in south San Jose. Copperfield’s Books has leased 6,023 square feet of ground floor retail space at a prime corner location in downtown Novato, CA. The local independent bookstore will open in a recently constructed mixed-use building at 999 Grant Avenue, positioned at the highly visible corner of Grant Avenue and Redwood Boulevard. The building features ground floor retail over second floor office. Copperfield’s will serve as the property’s primary retail occupant, along with Umpqua Bank, which also owns the property. An opening is expected in the first quarter of 2016.
